Using a discrete choice experiment to estimate spectators’ willingness to pay for professional baseball park sportscape

The physical environment of sport facilities, referred to as the sportscape, has a substantial influence on the extent to which sport fans attend sporting events and revisit the facilities. Accordingly, professional franchises make efforts to construct new stadiums with different sportscape elements, which serve as important factors that determine spectators’ levels of attendance satisfaction. With a sample of South Korean baseball fans, the authors examine which sportscape components of professional ballparks are considered most important by spectators, as well as how baseball attendees indicate their willingness to pay for particular sportscape attributes. Based on a discrete choice experimental approach, results indicate that spectators place the greatest importance on fast access to ballparks largely dependent upon the location. Results also suggest that respondents are willing to pay KR₩4102 for one more subway line. Different strategies for developing successful sportscape components are discussed.  相似文献   

高校图书馆参与公共文化服务体系影响因素研究

[目的/意义]构建高校图书馆参与公共文化服务体系影响因素模型，为高校图书馆公共文化服务发展提供理论和实践参考。[方法/过程]通过对10所高校26位采访对象的深度访谈，采用扎根理论方法，探索性研究高校图书馆参与公共文化服务体系影响因素，并构建其扎根理论模型。[结果/结论]高校图书馆参与公共文化服务体系影响因素主要包括4个主范畴：高校及其图书馆归因、政府机构归因、公众用户归因、其他归因。其中高校及其图书馆归因是主导性因素，政府机构归因是保障性因素，公众用户归因是驱动性因素，其他归因是制约性因素。在此基础上，提出高校图书馆深度参与公共文化服务体系策略。  相似文献   

Delinking rhetorics of neoliberalism: An analysis of South American leftist presidents’ speeches

We analyze the so-called Socialism of the twenty-first century in which nine South American governments turned to the left over the last 15 years. This South American socialist turn is seen as a delinking from the logics of dependency and pure neoliberalism. To explore the rhetorics that underlie this delinking process, we conducted both a macroanalysis and an intradiscursive rhetorical analysis of the inauguration and most significant speeches of all of the leftist South American presidents elected after 1999. We claim that a common critique of neoliberalism underlies the South American presidents’ speeches, which manifests through specific rhetorics concerning participatory democracy, social inclusion, and environmental protection. When they became transnational, these delinking rhetorics crafted a decolonial critique that calls for more indigenous models of development.  相似文献   

‘He is the Vagabond that Hath No Habitation in the Lord’: The Representation of Quakerism as Vagrancy in Interregnum England,c. 1650–1660

This article examines the printed representation, and prosecutorial characterisation, of the movements, actions and motivations of early Quakers as vagrant. It argues that the prevalence and power of representing (and subsequently treating) early Quakers as vagrants is an understudied aspect of the social and cultural history of the Society of Friends, particularly in Interregnum England. As evidence, it interrogates a furious pamphlet debate between mid-century religious writers and preachers, who devoted much time and ink to painting Quakers as mendacious vagabonds, and Quaker ‘First Publishers’, who responded at length and in a striking way to these accusations. The article concludes that these images of Quakerism as a form of ‘spiritual vagrancy’ created historically significant echoes in English and Atlantic culture.  相似文献

Abstract

Institutional repositories (IRs) present platform to disseminate research findings to complement the traditional scholarly communication model. The use of IRs is beneficial to authors, host institutions, libraries and society at large. Despite the numerous benefits of IRs, there is low deposit of scholarly works by lecturers and the investment on IRs seems to be a waste. This study examined determinants of perceived ease of use (PEOU) of IRs by lecturers in Nigerian universities. A survey of lecturers received 857 respondents. Awareness, anchor and adjustment factors were found to be determinants of PEOU of Institutional repositories by lecturers in Nigerian Universities.  相似文献

随着网络和信息技术的发展,现如今越来越多的课程通过网络和各种网络工具进行混合式教学。大学计算机基础课程是大学生的第一门计算机公共基础课程,同时也是大学生学习后续其他课程的重要基础课。为了提高该课程的教学效果,实现人才培养目标,教学团队针对该课程教学中存在的主要问题,通过结合SPOC在线课程的混合教学模式及运用多种教学方法,将线下和线上教学相结合。实践教学表明,混合式的教学模式不仅提高了学生的学习积极性和兴趣,而且达到了较好的教学效果。  相似文献

人文社科专著众筹OA出版发展现状和思考——以Open Book Publishers和Knowledge Unlatched为例

[目的/意义] 梳理人文社科专著众筹OA出版的发展现状，分析具有公益性特点的OA出版物和具有商业性特点的众筹出版所引起的冲突，以期对学术专著众筹出版提出有价值的思考。[方法/过程] 从发起者、投资者和众筹平台3个基本要素梳理Open Book Publishers和Knowledge Unlatched的众筹模式，比较异同点，探讨两者在竞争中引起的问题。[结果/结论] 目前，欧美国家的学术专著众筹出版分为高校、众筹商和OA出版社3种模式。Knowledge Unlatched是期望通过对图书馆的优质服务获得收益的众筹商，Open Book Publishers是借助网络开展众筹出版的OA出版社，两者属于商业化大型公司和非营利性OA出版社的竞争关系，在OA出版物的商业化开发、财务公开透明、垄断性的销售模式和审核制度方面值得高度关注。  相似文献
